Spay/Neuter Vouchers Available

Beat the Heat! Spay Pets Now.

Unaltered cats, beginning at 6 months of age, will come into heat in January, February and March, and will give birth 2 months later.  Many will have a second heat in the fall, producing a second litter.  To help you get your cat spayed or neutered you can get a voucher at the following locations:

Spay/neuter vouchers for San Luis Obispo County are available at the Department of Animal Services (DAS).  They are offering $40 spay/neuter certificates beginning on Spay Day, February 23, 2010, to help with the cost of spaying or neutering your cats and/or dogs.  They have a limited number and are offering up to three per household on a first come, first served basis.  Dogs must be licensed prior to receiving a voucher.  For more information please call DAS in SLO at 781-4400, in Oceano at 473-7100, or in Templeton at 434-4290.
